GTU sets norms for doctoral thesis

Times of India Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Technological University ( GTU) has for the first time come out with norms for students seeking to work on doctoral thesis. The university authorities have also decided that the admissions in doctoral thesis would be through a joint entrance test. The test for PhD programmes in engineering, pharmacy, master of business administration, master of computer administration and master of science in computer science will he held on March 12, said GTU officials. The GTU authorities have identified some 30 subjects for doctoral thesis. As per the new norms, students who have secured 55 per cent marks in their master degree are eligible for enrolment in the part-time and full-time doctoral thesis.
